LUDHIANA: Actor Manoj Joshi needs no introduction. Starting with the television series Chanakya that used to air on Doordarshan in the 1990s, the actor has become a respected name in the industry.
In the city for the second time to perform the pay 'Ali Baba Aur Us Kay Chalis Chor', Joshi said he loved the audience in Ludhiana. "They are mature," he said.
"I always look forward to visiting Ludhiana.
On the play, he said it gave the message of morality. "The play talks about what happens after the age of 40. Men start chasing their hidden desires, and that pushes them to immoral grounds," he said. "It's a two day story of three college friends who have crossed their forties and get together for a house party. The electricity goes off and there they hear the sound of a kiss and a slap, and the play picks up."
The drama also focuses on new-age technologies like Whatsapp and Facebook, and how they affect life.
The play will be staged at Guru Nanak Bhavan on Saturday evening.
